Summary:


Peter Parker is a shy, nerdy high school student living in New York City. During a school trip, he’s bitten by a genetically modified spider, and soon he develops superhuman abilities—enhanced strength, agility, the ability to cling to walls, and a “spider-sense.”


As Peter experiments with his powers, tragedy strikes: his beloved Uncle Ben is killed by a robber Peter could have stopped earlier. This deeply affects him, and he adopts the motto Uncle Ben once told him: "With great power comes great responsibility."


Peter becomes the masked hero Spider-Man, swinging through the city and fighting crime. Meanwhile, Norman Osborn, the father of Peter’s best friend Harry and a powerful scientist, becomes the insane villain Green Goblin after testing an unstable formula on himself.


The movie builds toward an intense confrontation between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, with Peter ultimately defeating him—but not without serious personal cost.
